Our Online International Exchange Program Officially Recognized by the DepEd Philippines

We are pleased to announce that our Online International Exchange Program (IntEx*), provided through the ICT English teaching material “WorldClassroom” for schools, has been officially recognized by the Government of the Philippines, Department of Education (DepEd) through the issuance of an official advisory.

“WorldClassroom” offers the “IntEx – Online International Exchange Program,” which connects Japanese classrooms with partner school classrooms overseas online. This program creates opportunities for students to apply their daily English learning, experience different cultures, and deepen their understanding of diversity. As of the end of December 2024, over 750 partner schools across 48 countries have participated, realizing international exchanges with schools in Japan.

Feedback from teachers at our overseas partner schools, similar to those in Japan, indicates that the program “positively impacts students, not only as an opportunity to use English but also to experience different cultures and diversity.” Furthermore, we have received comments such as, “Collaborating with HelloWorld, a private company from overseas (Japan), to implement the IntEx program expands my own career possibilities as a teacher.”

Recognizing these achievements and, through their standard process of reviewing credibility and educational value, the Philippine government has officially introduced our Online International Exchange Program “IntEx” of “WorldClassroom” through an official advisory circulated to all regional, division, and school officials across the Philippines. An advisory is an official notice from DepEd that guides schools and educators on programs, policies, or initiatives. This advisory is expected to increase the credibility of our program and encourage more schools and teachers in the Philippines to newly participate in the online international exchange.

We will continue to strengthen cooperation with overseas education stakeholders to expand the provision of international exchange opportunities to children not only in Japan but also across the world.
